Playground Safety Surfacing Installation
We specialise in two types of safety surfacing – wet pour and rubber mulch. Both are designed to ensure people, especially young children, can enjoy outdoor recreational areas with minimal risk of injury.
Rubber mulch is a sustainable and natural-looking alternative to wood bark, which can be installed under playground equipment to level out an area, create tree pits and provide decorative landscaping.
It is cost-effective to install and easy to maintain, making it ideal for playground safety surfacing and walkways with lots of foot traffic. The main benefits of this flooring surface are that it can be laid over grass and tarmac, is suitable for all weather and blends seamlessly with the natural environment. Like its wet-pour alternative, it is shock-absorbent and excellent for drainage.
We install both single-layer and two-layer rubber mulch in six colour variations, including forest green and earth brown. We also have black available on request.
Wet Pour Safety Surfacing Installers
Wet pour safety surfacing is usually a two-tier system, comprising an impact-absorbing rubber base topped with rubber crumb pre-mixed with a liquid binder. Wet pour is constructed in-situ and installed at variable depths, depending on its purpose.
An advantage of wet pour safety surfacing is the variety of colours available, giving users free rein to get creative with the design. We boast 24 colour options, as well as black, available on request.
From classic tones to vibrant block colours, wet pour can be used to create patterns and surface games like hopscotch. It is also porous, making it suitable for all weather conditions, 365 days of the year. Most of our wet-pour requests come from schools and nurseries, though it is also ideal for gyms or outdoor running tracks for athletics.
