Wet pour safety surfacing is usually a two-tier system comprising an impact-absorbing rubber base topped with rubber crumb pre-mixed with a liquid binder. Wet pour is constructed in-situ and installed at variable depths, depending on its purpose. An area of play equipment with a greater risk of injury in the event of a fall, generally requires a deeper design.

An advantage of wet pour safety surfacing is the variety of colours available, giving users free rein to get creative with the design. We boast 24 colour options as well as black on request.
From classic tones to vibrant block colours, wet pour can be used to create patterns as well as surface games like hopscotch. It is also porous, making it suitable for all weather conditions, 365 days of the year. Most of our wet-pour requests come from schools and nurseries, though it is also ideal for gyms or to create outdoor running tracks for athletics.
Rubber mulch is a sustainable and natural-looking alternative to wood bark which can be installed under playground equipment to level out an area, create tree pits and decorative landscaping.
It is very cost-effective to install and easy to maintain, making it ideal for playground safety surfacing and walkways with lots of foot traffic. The main benefits of this type of flooring surface are that it can be laid over grass and tarmac, is suitable for all weathers and blends seamlessly with the natural environment. Like its wet-pour alternative, it is shock-absorbent and excellent for drainage.
